An investigation is underway after a woman was found deceased on the state's Mid North Coast.

About 11.30am yesterday (Saturday, September 18), emergency services responded to reports of a woman being located deceased in a cabin on Pole Dump Forest Road, Bulga Forest.
Officers from Manning/Great Lakes Police District secured a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the 34-year-old woman.
A secondary crime scene was also established about three kilometres west of the cabin along Old Blue Knob Road, Bulga Forest, in relation to a silver Holden Rodeo utility that was located just off the roadway.
A 38-year-old man, who is known to the woman, was spoken to at the scene and is currently assisting police with their inquiries at Taree Police Station.
Police are appealing for anyone who have been at either location at the time, or proceeding day, or who may have dashcam footage to contact Taree Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
