The tables, which have been funded by the Department of Primary Industries Recreational Fishing Trust, will be installed instead at Hawks Nest and Coomba Park.
Council's community spaces, recreation and trades manager Dan Aldridge said council would reconsider the placement of fish cleaning tables at Crowdy Head in conjunction with the redevelopment of the Co-op.

In the meantime, the Hawks Nest and Coomba Park communities had made it clear that fish cleaning tables would be valued in their locations.
"They're over the moon about receiving them," Mr Aldridge said.
"We'll be installing four at Hawks Nest and two at Coomba Park.
"The feedback has been really positive from both of those communities and we're pleased that we are now able to offer the same level of service fishers receives at most of our other boat launching ramps."
Work on the installation of the tables is expected to take place in the next few months, with ramp users and locals notified through signage at each site when work is due to start.
