It's inviting members to a morning tea and chat every month, with the first one on Wednesday, September 16 between 10am and 11. The next will be on Wednesday, October 14.
The literary institute is located upstairs at 129 Victoria Street, Taree, phone 6552 4361.
The library has a large selection of books and DVDs, free wifi and is free to join.
Needlefelt your own Aussie animal
Manning Valley Neighbourhood Centre is hosting a needle felting workshop on Saturday, September 19 between 10am and 1pm.
Join needle felting artist Gemma from Scraps of Happiness' for a morning of needle felting to create your own Aussie animal. Beginners are welcome.
The neighbourhood centre is located in the old courthouse at Wingham. To register for the workshop contact Gemma on 0439 926 883. The event is sponsored by MidCoast Renewal Committee.
Art and craft afternoon
MidCoast Renewal Committee and Manning Valley Neighbourhood Services are combining to present beginner level art and craft afternoons on Friday afternoons, September 25 and October 23.
A selection of do-it-yourself kits will be provided free of charge. It will be an informal afternoon of learning and sharing the basics of a variety of craft and children over five years are welcome to participate.
The sessions will be held between 1pm and 4pm at the neighbourhood centre in the old courthouse at Wingham. To register email MVNS@mvns.org.au or phone 6553 5121.
