MidCoast Council Libraries manager, Chris Jones, said there was plenty in store for the month ahead.
"We received a fantastic response to our first livestream author event with Sandie Docker and we're pleased to be able to bring more great authors to audiences at home throughout May," Mr Jones said.
Adam Courtenay, son of famed Australian novelist Bryce Courtenay, will host a Zoom talk about his latest book The Ghost and the Bounty Hunter on Thursday, May 7, from 5:30pm.
The book is described as "a fascinating and poignant true story about Australia's colonial history."

Following on from Adam will be Australia's leading international advocate on ageing, Marcus Riley, who will host a livestream on YouTube about his new book Booming.
This will take place on Monday, May 11 at 3pm.
Kirsty Manning will then host a Zoom talk on Wednesday, May 13 at 6pm about her latest novel Lost Jewels, which is said to be "a thrilling modern-day treasure hunt that's brimming with family secrets."
Mr Jones said it was a delight to offer such a diverse lineup of author talks to library members.
"These virtual events give our community the opportunity to connect with their favourite authors from the comfort of their own home, and we look forward to connecting online," Mr Jones said.
"It's also a great opportunity to #ShopLocal by pre-purchasing one of these books from our fantastic local book shops, The Sitting Wombat at Forster and The Gloucester Bookshop."
Anyone interested in attending the events is reminded they're free but bookings are essential.
