I write this from a very quiet space - the stage of the MEC - where we are sorely missing the customary vibrant parade of performers, crew, musical instruments and sets bustling in and out of the theatre. However, the aspect we are missing the most by far is you, our patrons.

Our theatre is dark but we are optimistic that the future is not.
We are anxious to return to a time when we can again host the artists who are currently experiencing the devastating consequences of venue closures, and we are doing our best to support them by adding our voice to the representations being made on their behalf to all levels of government.
In the meantime, we're finding ways to keep artists connected with the community, and our patrons connected with live performance through shows and gigs streamed via our Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Do keep an eye on our pages for some really terrific online content from all around the world that's been very enthusiastically received by thousands of our followers.
I would personally like to extend my sincere thanks to our patrons who had tickets for cancelled events, and who are waiting with such patience and good humour for the thousands of refunds being processed by our hard working staff.
The show WILL go on, and when it does, we will be here beside you celebrating the vibrancy and robustness of Australia's live entertainment industry.
