This follows her performance at the first of nine Jack Newton tournaments held in the State recently at Wagga. Here Quedesha won the 14/15 years scratch and net. Tournament rules don't allow her to win both, so she took the scratch.
Quedesha is the Manning River Times-Iguana Sportstar of the Week, earning a $50 open order at Iguana. She set her sights on making the champion of champions this year after just missing out in 2018. The event is held the first week of December.
Quedesha fired an eight over 81 on both days, eventually winning by a shot - the result coming down to her last putt.
"I was four behind on the first round,'' she explained.
Quedesha was confident that she was playing well enough to be a contender on the second day.
"I just concentrated, tried to keep calm and control my nerves and play to my handicap,'' she said.
"I didn't want to choke.''
Gradually she clawed her way into the lead.
"I had a five foot putt on the last hole,'' she said.
"If I'd missed that we would have gone into a playoff, but I managed to sink it.''

Quedesha also broke her handicap, which now sits at 7.8. This was also the first time she'd played the Wagga course.
Even though she's qualified for Bonville, Quedesha will play a few more qualifying events during the year.
"I'd like to win another trophy,'' she said.
Quedesha believes her golf has improved in recent months, putting this down to coaching from Taree professional Wayne Dodd. She usually has one session with Dodd a week. She also plays most weekends and whenever she can during the week - Quedesha was heading out for a hit with her dad, David, after speaking with the Times.
Last year she gained a place in the NSW under 15 team for the Australian All Schools championships. She was reasonably happy with her efforts here in an the event held in driving rain.
"The trials for the State team are on again in May so I'll be trying out again,'' she said.
Quedesha is a member of the Hunter Academy of Sport and has represented the Hunter Region in school events for the past three years. In 2018 she was awarded the Emma De Groot Scholarship from the Central North Coast Women's Golf Association. This takes in clubs from Bulahdelah to Woolgoolga.
Quedesha is a member of the Kew and Taree clubs and is looking forward to playing championships at both later this year. She is sponsored by Workscene and Titeist.
