Conservation organisation Aussie Ark is opening the gates of its Barrington Tops facility to the public this summer.

The open days will run the throughout January, with the public able to access the facility each day from 10.30am to 2pm, with two tours offered daily at 11am and 12.30pm.
Each tour lasts for about an hour. Visitors will be guided by Aussie Ark staff and have the opportunity to witness a social feed of Tasmanian devils and get close encounters with baby animals including Tasmanian devil, eastern quoll and rufous bettong joeys.
A barbecue lunch will also be prepared, with snacks and merchandise is available at the Interpretative Centre.
Aussie Ark managing director, Liz Gabriel says the open days offer a special "glimpse" into the behind-the-scenes work of this world-recognised conservation organisation.

"Our open days are an affordable day out and offer a 'taster' of what Aussie Ark is all about up here at the Barrington Tops," Ms Gabriel said.
"It's a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages to be in the great outdoors, share the knowledge of our expert staff, ask questions, take photos, and see our beautiful Australian wildlife in a natural landscape."
For those wishing to maximise their visit to the Barrington Tops, Aussie Ark has accommodation 15 minutes' drive from the facility at the Devils Retreat - a contemporary home able to sleep ten people - and the Quoll Cottage which can sleep up to eight.
