The Samson is a four-person team event, with competitors put through twelve gruelling challenges, which include a farmers walk with jerry cans, a prowler push, a 130kg truck tyre flip, a burpee challenge, a 2x2km run, a 1km team swim, a sled pull, and an obstacle course.
The fittest team will take home the Samson Title.

The Samson is now in its 14th year, helping raise funds for Our Kids to purchase paediatric equipment for local hospitals. The multi-day event now includes the Samson Solo, Samson Teen Sprint, and Samson Kids.
The 41st Battalion Royal New South Wales Regiment (41 RNSWR) and the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre (GSAC) team have joined with Team Samson to ensure the Samson is a great event.
The event will be held at Hepburn Park in Goonellabah, however, the run leg will take competitors through the streets to the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre for the swim leg, then back to the oval, where competitors will complete the last two fitness legs.
"The Samson attracts people from all over the state and South-East Queensland who enjoy keeping fit. This event is a way to put your body to the test and at the same time help support local children," Jason Clarke, Team Samson organiser, said.
Registrations open on Wednesday, December 6.
The Early Bird registration fee is $350 per team. To register online, and for more details on the course, head to www.lismoresamson.com.
