Group C, headed by candidate Peter Epov, had secure the most votes in the MidCoast Council election at the end of counting last night (Saturday, December 4).

Group C held 17.34 per cent of the formal vote, with Group A, lead by Alan Tickle, securing 12.95 per cent; , followed by the Liberals (Group K, Troy Fowler) 11.06 per cent and Labor (Group H, Claire Pontin) 10.19 per cent.
Group B (Jeremy Miller) had 7.48 per cent of the formal vote, and Group M (Jessica Corkill) 5.92 per cent.
Counting will resume today.
Eighty candidates sought the 11 positions on MidCoast Council.
A total of 24,146 formal votes have been counted. Percentage of informal votes stood at 12.73.
Return of completed postal vote certificates closes on December 17.
The distribution of preferences will start on December 21 with the progressive declaration of results through until December 23.
