Coach, Mick Grass, said the senior squads are just about finalised.
The Middies will be looking to improve on a disappointing 2021 when the first grade side was well out of contention for a finals berth when the competition was called off due to the lockdown.
Mid Coast won just one game and drew another to be in second last place.
Grass previously that it was always going to be a difficult season for the young Middies squad following the loss of key players from 2020. However, he's confident there are better days ahead.
Eight clubs contest the premier league, with Mid Coast the only one not in the Newcastle-Hunter area.. All Mid Coast home games are played at the Taree Zone Field.
Mid Coast's pre-season was severely impacted by the wet start to 2021 and Grass hopes there won't be a repeat for 2022, although continued wet weather will determined when and if training goes ahead this week.
Grass said three trial games have been organised, with the Middies to meet Adamstown in late January, Sydney University in February and Maitland in early March.
