One of Wingham High School's year nine students, Jaydon Brown, gained some work experience at Manning Valley Dairy assisting with the afternoon milking on Friday evenings for the last few weeks.
Since he began attending Wingham High School Jaydon has spent lunchtimes and Friday sport working with the beef herd on the school farm. He has spent some time with dairy cattle before but the large rotary dairy, milking more than 650 cows in just a few hours, has been a whole new experience.
The other milkers, some of whom are ex-Wingham High students, have been a great help showing Jaydon the ropes and providing encouragement.
Jaydon has enjoyed the work and has put in a great effort to learn the skills to keep up the pace of the dairy.
He is now more eager than ever to begin a career working in agriculture and is hoping to gain some employment milking in the holidays or on weekends.
Wingham High School wants to say thank you to Simon and the team at Manning Valley Dairy for their support of their students.
