Large numbers have been accepted in the men's masters single scull, women's masters double scull and the men's seeded single scull with divisions required for these events
Manning rowers Joshua McPhellamy, Hunter Chapman, Rian Watkins and Noah Evans will make their racing debut when they take their place in the men's seeded quad scull at 8.20am
Tara Copp will combine with Ava Sharpe in the women's seeded double scull.
These junior members have come through the Manning Valley Anglican College rowing program, which was interrupted initially by the damage sustained to the rowing club when the mini cyclone hit in March 2019, then COVID followed by the flood in March 2021. This has kept the rowers off the water for an extended period, however their enthusiasm has been pleasing, with coach Warren Steedman happy with progress.

Ray Beeton, Graham Nix, Nick Johnston and Murray Doust will contest the men's masters events while in the masters women it is a return to racing for Kaye Pullen, Kaye Smythe, Mandy Cavill and Sue Edwards.
Sunday the Head of the Manning and the Wilkes Shield are the two events to be contested, with the 16km around Dumaresq Island.
Two crews will contest the Head of the Manning and a large field of 24 will tackle the Wilkes Shield in single sculls.
The club will host the three day Summer Regatta in January.
