TAREE Touch association's junior competitions made a belated start to the season on Monday, October 25.
Association president Graham Goodwin said team numbers are on par with recent seasons, which he added is encouraging given the problems associated with the pandemic, while continued wet weather plagued the end of last summer
To make up for the lost weeks the association has decided to continue playing into next year. Usually grand finals are played just before Christmas.
Meanwhile, Taree Touch will again be strongly represented at the State Junior Cup to be played next February in Port Macquarie. Taree is expected to nominate for all 10 age divisions.
Taree will also send teams to the State Cup to be played at Port Macquarie from December 3 to 5.
