Snow has been forecast for some parts of the Manning Great Lakes district over the next week.
Manning Great Lakes Police District have issued a strong warning to those considering visiting the Barrington Tops this week - don't, and expect "hefty fines" for those who breach public health orders.
"Operation Stay at Home is underway in every Police Area Command and Police District across the State, and police will not hesitate to take action against those who have a blatant disregard for the current public health orders," Inspector Guiana said.
"Hefty fines apply for breaching the current public health orders, so on top of the physical hazards, now is not the time to be travelling for any reason not specifically allowed for in the Public Health Orders.
"Our message is simple: stay at home means just that - stay at home! Police will be out in high-visibility to ensure compliance with the public health orders," Insp Guiana said.
