Donations to local schools, community groups and the Taree and District Eisteddfod Society was announced at Taree Literary Institute's recent annual general meeting.

President Carol Emerton expressed her thanks to staff and committee members for their work in keeping the library open with protocols stipulated by public health orders.
The committee recognised the donations of $75 to four local schools, $200 to Lansdowne Art Show, $250 to Taree Artists Inc and $2200 to Taree Eisteddfod.
The library underwent renovations in February this year with new carpet, painting, work benches and outside signs with hopes to attract new members.
The book club aimed at people affected by the bushfires is still going strong, they said.
The DVD collection continues to grow well, while the current book stock is 24,262 with 375 purchased this year.
The library has welcomed 36 members this year, adding to its 2330 total.
Committee positions are president Mrs Carol Emerton, vice president Mr Bob Crossman, secretary Mrs Suzanne Booth, treasurer and librarian Mrs Kylie Attard, and committee members Mrs Sandra Saad, Mrs Helen Mitchell, Mrs Mescal Dever, Mr David Rush, Mr Peter Smith and Mr David Embury.
