Following this, the school took to Facebook to inform the families and students of the learning from home packages they are providing for students during the public health order.
The packages have been available at the front gate of the school all week and include a hard copy version of the work that is provided to students working online.
Students are encouraged to follow their normal timetables online through Google classrooms or with the hard copies provided in the package.
The school said it has had a really great response to the packages, with a large percentage of students and families collecting every day.
Taree High School said it is providing book packs for its students as well as online access to an ebook and audiobook platform.
An update by the NSW government on August 15 states that "an important part of a successful learning from home program for many schools is providing families with hard copies of materials and activities both as a supplement to online work being undertaken and for families with limited ability to use or access technology."
Parents and carers in these local government areas (LGAs) must keep children - across primary and secondary school - at home unless they need to be at school. Schools (including outside of school hours care) are open for any child that needs it, according to the NSW government.
The latest update from NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) provides information about the COVID-19 special consideration program which is available for students where COVID-19 has caused significant disruption or disadvantage to HSC students.
