Work will include repairs to the steel truss, replacing the overhead bracing along the full length of the bridge and bird proofing.
Full bridge closures will be required from 9pm to 5am from Monday, August 16 to Thursday, August 19, with detours in place via Cundletown and the Pacific Highway for all traffic, except for emergency services.
Detours due to bridge closures will add up to 20 kilometres or around 20 minutes travel time and will not be scheduled at the same time as closures of Martin Bridge at Taree.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
