Mathiske scored a clear decision after a strong ride over the 40km course. Earlier this year his son, Kobi, won the club's annual Tour of the Manning.
Michael de Wright won B-grade with Wade Buchanan successful in C-grade. Glen Knight was first home in D-grade.
The field was somewhat depleted this year due to injuries and unavailability with nearly 20 cyclists facing the starter.
Conditions were described as superb for the afternoon's racing.
The club will now conduct the annual Founders Handicap race this Saturday. Alex Cross won the race last year and she is expected to defend her title. Alex edged out her mum, Tanya, last year to claim the victory.
This will be conducted at Melinga between between 1.30pm and 4.30pm.
Residents and road users can expect short delays on Upper Lansdowne Road during these times.
Meanwhile the State junior championships set to be held at Port Macquarie this month have been postponed until September due to the on-going COVID-19 crisis.
It's now hoped to hold the championships on September 11, according to Cycling NSW.
