The Wildcats have seven players who were in the impacted local government areas in and around Newcastle and the and the Hunter Valley on or since July 31.
These players are now subject to a stay-at-home order following the Newcastle lockdown due to COVID-19.
The fixture between Port Saints-Sawtell has been postponed for the same reason, as Saints have up to 10 players unavailable. The match was to be played at Toormina Oval on Saturday.
CPL is working with club officials on rescheduling arrangements.
This weekend is the penultimate round in the premier league. Taree is due to play Port United at Omaru Park on Saturday August 14 in the club's final game of the season.
