* NSW has recorded 199 new local COVID-19 cases and aims to have six million doses of vaccine in arms by the end of the month as part of a push to exit lockdown.
* With at least 82 people in NSW circulating in the community while infectious, Premier Gladys Berejiklian says authorities don't know if the outbreak will improve or deteriorate in the coming days.
* Westmead Hospital in Sydney's west and two Sydney nursing homes - Wyoming Nursing Home in Summer Hill and St Hedwig Village at Blacktown - are currently dealing with outbreaks.
* A GP clinic in Sydney's southwest that charged people hundreds of dollars to receive the Pfizer vaccine - Blessed Health Care in Campsie - appears to be refunding its patients but may not be allocated more Pfizer doses by the government.
* Brisbane's COVID-19 outbreak has swollen to 47 cases - including 16 new cases announced on Tuesday - with chief health officer Jeannette Young warning the state is on the verge of a "large outbreak".
* Queensland's outbreak means the AstraZeneca vaccine is now a more viable option for younger Queenslanders, Dr Young says.
* Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has warned that until 70 per cent of Australians are fully vaccinated, it is an economic imperative that governments move fast to get on top of coronavirus cases with snap lockdowns.
* Fully vaccinated Australians will not be offered one-off cash payments after Scott Morrison dismissed a Labor plan to boost jab rates by doling out $300 rewards.
* Victoria reported four new local coronavirus cases on Tuesday, all linked to the state's current outbreaks and in isolation for their entire infectious period, as authorities push back against calls for rapid antigen testing.

AUSTRALIAN VACCINATION NUMBERS:
* There have been 12,594,451 doses administered in the national COVID-19 vaccination rollout up to Monday, including 200,558 in the previous 24 hours.
* Nationwide, 41.4 per cent of people aged over 16 have received one vaccine dose while 19.7 per cent are fully vaccinated.
* Of the total, 7,122,797 have been administered by the Commonwealth (an increase of 127,413 in the previous 24 hours).
* 6,590,505 have been issued in primary care (+119,358) and 532,292 in aged and disability facilities (+8055).
* 5,471,654 have been administered by the states and territories, including 73,145 in the previous 24 hours.
* Doses administered by the states number 1,681,084 in Victoria (+20,765), 1,535,018 in NSW (+25,312), 932,380 in Queensland (+10,630), 518,693 in Western Australia (+6681), 402,193 in South Australia (+5753), 168,600 in Tasmania (+1764), 142,779 in the ACT (+2240) and 90,907 in the NT (+0).
AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:
* Australia reported 219 local cases on Monday August 2: 199 in NSW, four in Victoria and 16 in Queensland.
* There were four new overseas-acquired cases: three in NSW and one in Victoria.
* The national death toll is 925: Victoria 820, NSW 71, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 7, SA 4, ACT 3. (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).
