Just before 9am Saturday (July 31) the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by Ambulance New South Wales to the Taree racecourse to reports that a 32-year-old woman had suffered serious head, chest and facial injuries.
Local Ambulance Paramedics and Emergency Services attended the scene and commenced treatment of the woman prior to the arrival of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Critical Care Medical Team.
The patient was stabilised on scene by the Critical Care Medical Team prior to being flown direct to the John Hunter Hospital in stable condition suffering head, chest and facial injuries.
