The burns will be carried out by National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), in conjunction with the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS).
NPWS Manning Great Lakes area manager Steve Smith said the Steinmetz hazard reduction burn in Coorabakh National Park, 30 kilometres north of Taree, and the Southern Boundary hazard reduction burn in Myall Lakes National Park, north of Hawks Nest, will take place Sunday 1 August.
Both burns aim to reduced fuel to help protect the parks and neighbours from summer bushfires.
NPWS crews will be working on Mungo Brush Road to implement the Southern Boundary burn and on Big Nellie Road for the Steinmetz burn.
People are reminded to use caution driving along roads in the area.
All burns across NSW will continue to be coordinated with the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) to ensure the impact on the community, including from smoke, are assessed at a regional level.
Details on specific burns will be made available in advance on the Rural Fire Service website, 'Fires Near Me' app, and on NPWS Alerts website.
