Local cycling stalwart Bill Clinch with his wife Grace has spent more than two years in Tokyo as managing organiser for the cycle road events for the Olympics and Para Olympics.
Bill is no stranger to the highest levels of the sport, having been responsible for the same events at the last five Commonwealth Games.
Bill has been involved in the sport since he was a schoolboy, and was the guiding hand behind the Taree Cycle Club for many years. His contribution to the sport was recognised a few years ago when he was awarded the OAM.
I'm sure when they return to Taree he will once again be involved in local and State wide events.
