The survey is open until Thursday, June 17 and interested fishers should visit the NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) website or Survey Monkey.
"This would be a great coup to have an offshore artificial reef installed off our coastline, they truly are an underwater oasis for marine life," Member for Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead said.
"The NSW government already has eight of these million-dollar structures in our waters, and their innovative designs encourage marine growth for fish to flourish in, so wouldn't it be fantastic to have one locally?
"Offshore artificial reefs are not only great for keen fishers, but they're a great tourism drawcard and provide significant ecological and economic benefits.
"I want to see as many expressions of interests made from the Myall Lakes region. We know we're home to the best fishing spots in NSW and it's time the rest of the state knew about it, so jump online and fill out the survey," Mr Bromhead said.
Reefs in Batemans Bay and Jervis Bay will be completed in 2021 and 2022 respectively, adding to those already installed off Sydney, South Sydney, the Shoalhaven, Port Macquarie, Merimbula, Newcastle, Wollongong and Tweed Heads.
