St Kevin's, a small school in Cardiff with only 109 students, heard about the floods in March and wanted to help the Wingham Catholic school community recover.
Students in the St Kevin's Mini Vinnies group put their heads together to come up with ways to raise funds, and settled on a special treats stall and a farmer's themed out of uniform day. They managed to raise $698.35 to gift to St Joseph's.
"That's an amazing amount of money for a small school to raise," St Joseph's Primary School principal, Melissa Hunt said.
I think it's such a wonderful thing to see young people in our community looking for ways to help others and make the world a better place.

"We feel very humbled and just so grateful that another community was willing to help support our little community. We've certainly been through a lot in the last few years.
"To be able to have another Catholic school to reach out and help us was just really, really lovely. I think it's such a wonderful thing to see young people in our community looking for ways to help others and make the world a better place."
St Joseph's have three families that have been directly impacted by the floods, with other families who's grandparents or other family members behave been affected.
The school will use the funds to to pay for excursions or extra costs for those families, and also help them set them back up with uniforms.
"We'll just keep a little kitty and hopefully they won't need to pay any extra money for the rest of the year for bits and pieces like that," Melissa said.
