The event will be held on Saturday May 8 and will see 60 vintage hot rods and 20 classic motorcycles hit the sand for some bracket sprint racing action.

It will also include 'grudge matches' and an exhibition class for unique and historical vehicles.

The event was set to be held last May but was cancelled due to the global pandemic.

Like all sports clubs across the country, the hot rod club was forced to adapt to new regulations.

"It certainly takes the wind out of your sails," club president Andrew McClelland said.

He had high praise for the Crowdy Head/ Harrington community, which will welcome back the motoring enthusiasts for the fourth time.

"I don't think I've ever come across a town with more pride, it's a great place," Andrew said.

"All the locals are proud and welcome boosts to their economy."

He said many hotels and caravan parks will be full across the weekend due to the event. Gates open at 9.30am for a 10.30am start.

Limited tickets are available online.

COVID-19 regulations will also be enforced.

Weather conditions for the day are predicted to be perfect for racing.
