A section of Farquhar Street remains inaccessible to the public, with the clean-up of the brush yet to begin.
The landscape of the area has changed completely.
The first thing you will notice walking down to the water is a destroyed caravan wrapped around a tree.
The caravan is rested on a small traffic pole, which suggests it was swept up and carried by the force of flood water. Large trees and vegetation are also strewn across the road.

Further down, sections of the road have been severely damaged and are dangerous for vehicles to drive on.
In some degree of good news, the Wingham Brush Nature Reserve sign is intact.
A large crater, approximately half a metre deep, has taken the place of a grassed area where motor homes used to park.
The roof of the sheltered picnic area is gone, while the tables underneath are covered in tree branches.
The toilet block appears structurally sound but with more debris at the entrance, it's unknown what the condition is inside. Mud surrounds this section of the reserve and is exceptionally slippery under foot.
The whereabouts of the wharf is also unknown, but it can be presumed it has either sunk or floated down river.
A picnic table is still cut off by water but looks to be in good condition.
As you can see by the video above, there's an obvious reason why the road is closed to traffic.
It will take some time before the reserve is cleaned up but with emergency services working around the clock, it will hopefully be a short time before locals and visitors can enjoy a picnic or swim at the reserve again.
