Mr Bromhead said the State Emergency Service continues to do "a phenomenal job" while Fire and Rescue NSW, Surf Life Saving NSW, Rural Fire Service, NSW Police and NSW Ambulance have also provided a great service to the community.
"They're all playing a significant role and I want to say thank you to all them on behalf of the community," Mr Bromhead said.
He also praised the efforts of the community to help families and businesses who have suffered property loss and damage.
"It's great to know the wider community is interesting in what's happening in Taree and is interested in (helping) individuals and families," Mr Bromhead said.
Meanwhile, Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie acknowledged the devastation to families, businesses and farmers caused by the flood.
He said many farmers on the Mid North Coast have lost their livestock and livelihoods.
"We'll get through this, we're all here to support each other and thanks to all the amazing volunteers and the services who have put their lives on the line to keep everyone safe," Dr Gillespie said in a video posted on social media.
Dr Gillespie visited Taree earlier this week to survey the damage. He was pleased the RiverStage survived the flood.
He was isolated at his home in Sancrox (near Wauchope) during the height of the flood on the weekend.
