"It is unbelievable that people are so heartless to take advantage of the local communities good will during such trying times. They should (be) ashamed of themselves," the unit posted on Facebook on Tuesday.
The unit advised that the SES does not ask for donations or undertakes door knocking for donations.
"If you are contacted by anyone asking for donations on behalf of the NSW SES, this is a scam," the unit said.
"If someone knocks on your door asking for donations on behalf of the NSW SES, this is also a scam and should be reported immediately to the police."
SES crews from across the State have worked tirelessly in the community this past week as residents and businesses recover from the 'one in 100 year' flood.
