Workers braved more rain on Tuesday March 23 to assess the damage while vegetation and a surf ski hung from the bottom of the bridge.
There is no time frame for when the bridge will reopen to the public.
Taree Aquatic Club (Sailo's) will be closed indefinitely. The club was inundated with water on Saturday, reaching 75mm inside.
All stock was destroyed in the kitchen while the carpet suffered irreversible damage.
Taree Aquatic Sailing Club official Dave Hardaker was outside the club to hose mud out of sailing boats while others were inside to continue the clean-up.
It will be some time before Chrissy Gollan Park, at the entrance to Wingham, will be in use again.
Emergency tape surrounds the park as picnic tables and shelters remain strewn on the ground.
Meanwhile, access to Harrington via the Pacific Highway was opened to motorists on Tuesday.

Social media confusion was also rife this afternoon, with some Facebook users claiming the Dawson River Bridge (connecting Taree and Cundletown) was closed or due to be closed.
"We understand there are reports that the bridge is closed or due to be closed, this is not true," MidCoast Council stated on Facebook.
The bridge was closed sporadically on the weekend, which isolated Cundletown and Lansdowne residents from Taree.
Sunny and warm conditions will be a welcome relief for residents on Wednesday as the clean-up from the flood continues.
