The hall turns 100 next year and although it is unclear at the moment just what form the centenary festivities will take, one thing is known.
The hall will definitely be celebrated and its history as the hub of the local community retold.
Locals and the wider community are being called to share stories and photos of the hall from as far back as possible.
"We often have people say they remember attending dances at the hall in the 1960s," hall volunteer Jennie Cameron said.
"We'd love to get some letters with stories from people."
Jennie and her husband Ken will no doubt have a few stories of their own to share.
The Camerons have been part of the Marlee community since 1854 with Ken's ancestors being founding members of the hall.
"We're very proud of the fact Camerons have been working with the hall consistently for the past 100 years," said Jennie.
Letters and photos are welcome to be posted to Ken and Jennie Cameron at 1644 Bulga Road, Marlee 2429 or emailed to jencam4@outlook.com
