The ocean water temperature has dropped from 26 degrees to 23 degrees and the small black marlin have departed to look for warmer waters.
Snapper, mahi mahi and flathead make up the bulk of catches at present.
On the beaches, tailor are the main species being caught and plenty of fish are being taken on the walls around Crowdy boat harbour.
Luderick are also on the bite in the harbour.
Third Creek on Crowdy Beach broke out due to the rains and they're still running. It has been a few years since the creek has run.
There are a few spots on Crowdy Beach that are very narrow, even on low tide, and it could be very easy to get caught by the rising tide.
In the estuary, flathead, bream and whiting are on the bite.
Manning Point Beach is one spot where there are plenty of anglers looking for whiting.
The river is clean on high tide but it's still murky for the last on the run out.
It could take a few weeks for the river to clear completely.
