The noise levels have been in place for about a decade.
The 2021 club days are scheduled for March 7 and the weekend of May 15-16 as well as the Easter Classic in April.
With council support, the powerboat club must obtain all necessary licences and approvals from Transport for NSW and have appropriate ear protection available for everyone attending the events.
The club must also notify nearby residents and attendees of the noise level and the effect it can have on hearing.
In a letter to council before the decision was made, club commodore Scott Godfrey said if the limits were lessened, it would impact on the club's chances of hosting an Australian or world title event.
Council acknowledge the significance of powerboats to the Taree community and the subsequent widespread popularity of the Easter event.
Present councillors unanimously supported the move at the final ordinary meeting of 2020.
The levels will be reviewed again in December 2025.
