There is a recall of flares manufactured by Westcom Signal and Rescue Australia, batch nos.060 061. These flares are faulty so that when ignited they burn at both ends possibly burning hands. Return to point of purchase.
Crowdy Harrington's marine rescue vessel CB 30 is at Yamba to have new electronics fitted as well as a thorough service and will be out of service for approximately four weeks. In the meantime our other boat is available up to 16 miles off shore, while MR Camden Haven and MR Forster Tuncurry will handle jobs further afield
Since Covid 19 started we have performed 11 assists, one being 19nm to sea, and have one new crew, Greg Bower, added to our number, as well as four new radio operators, so we are still active
Remember to check boat and motor before venturing offshore and log on and off when boating.
