The incumbent Australian skipper joined three Roosters teammates in the side, which national selectors Laurie Daley and Darren Lockyer would have chosen if there were rugby league test matches this year.

Cordner is also certain to lead the side for next year's World Cup in England, as well as NSW for the State of Origin series.
The NRL confirmed the Kangaroos will play at least one test match between the end of next season and the start of the World Cup.
