"Are you for real?" she asked when The Lott called her on Monday afternoon, November 23. "Are you kidding me?
"Is this serious? Oh my god. My stomach is doing flips!"
The woman held one of the 11 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4105, drawn Saturday, November 21. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $549,405.38.
The winner finally answered the phone call from The Lott on Monday afternoon, while she was on her lunch break.
"I don't know what to do with myself. Oh my god. Thank you!
"This is wonderful. This is unreal. Thank you very much!"
When asked what she thought she might do with her winnings, she didn't need a moment to consider her plans. "I'll pay off my house," she said. "It will be absolutely wonderful to never have to worry about another mortgage repayment.
"Oh my god this is so unbelievable. I can't believe I'm having this conversation. I'm completely in shock!"
The life-changing entry was purchased at newsXpress Forster, Shop 120, Stockland Forster, Breese Parade, Forster.
newsXpress Forster employee Bev Tait said she was thrilled to see the prize go to a local. "We're just so happy," she said.
"We were so excited when we realised we'd sold this winning ticket and to know it's gone to one of our regular customers is really great news."
Across Australia, there were 11 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4105 - three from Queensland, three from Victoria, two from New South Wales, two from Western Australia and one from South Australia.
