Wingham, a top contender last season, have struggled to maintain control of matches so far this season. A win over United could turn the tide and keep them in touch with the front runners.
As the competition has proved in the past, early season wins and momentum are crucial.
Gloucester will look for three wins on the trot against Old Bar at Old Bar.
The first encounter between the sides this year went down to the wire, with Old Bar hanging on to win by 13 runs.
A win to Bushmen will keep them in touch with the mid pack teams and put pressure on those still well in the hunt for the minor premiership.
You can't sleep on Old Bar either. They also have an opportunity to take the lead if they defeat Gloucester.
Damon Minett has been in fine touch with the bat, and leads the competition for runs with 117 at an average of 29.25.
Kieran Green and Tom Kelly have been doing the damage with the ball and have taken 10 and nine wickets respectively.
Rain isn't expected across the region this weekend so expect some quality cricket action.
There are still four rounds left in the competition before the Christmas/ New Year break.
In third grade, Taree West Heat are still searching for their first season win. They will take on Pacific Palms at Pacific Palms Oval on Saturday.
Competition leaders Bulahdelah will tackle Wingham at home while Taree West Strikers face Taree United in the Manning derby at the recreation ground.
OB Harrington face Great Lakes Gold in Harrington and Great Lakes Green meet Old Bar in the other fixtures.
Meanwhile, Wingham will host Wauchope RSL in round eight of the Mid North Coast Cricket Premier League.
The side is coming off a loss to the undefeated Rovers.
Ben Cole has the most runs for the side so far this season with 125 while Mick Stinson has a club high nine wickets.
