Multi-category teacher Micheala Sawtell said the idea was conceived over a cup of tea in the well-being staff room when Ash and Trevor were at the school helping the 'Go-getters' with their playground improvement design project.
Ms Sawtell said the day started with the students being given a tour of the station and shown the technology in the police cars.
"Then, with a little with a bit of elbow grease, they put a shine on the police vehicle," she said.
Ms Sawtell said year 12 student Harrison Hughes particularly enjoyed the day given he was approaching the end of his schooling.
"Hughesy took the lead in preparing the materials for the car wash, filling buckets, handing out sponges and taking the lead role of rinsing the police vehicle with the hose," she said.
Ms Sawtell thanked both the students and the police officers for the successful day.
"The students are to be commended on their respect, attention and hard work washing the police car," she said.
"We would like to thank our local police officers on their good nature, effort and commitment.
"These activities with our BCS students helps to strengthen relationships with our young community."
