As the close of tax time approaches and with easing of COVID-19 restrictions, those who have delayed or have been unable to lodge may seek a Tax Help appointment.
To provide assistance to those still needing to lodge, Tax Help will continue to be available until November 30 this year. This will include face-to-face, Virtual Tax Help and Tax Help by phone.
The program is available to people earning $60,000 per annum or less and generally excludes those in the following categories: work as a contractor, for example a contract cleaner or taxi driver; run a business, including as a sole trader; have partnership or trust matters; sell shares or an investment property; own a rental property; have capital gains tax (CGT); receive royalties; receive distributions from a trust, other than a managed fund or receive foreign income, other than a foreign pension or annuity.
Old Bar CTC Tax Help volunteer, Belinda, is continuing with the service until the end of November so if you need your tax done, phone the CTC on 6553 6677 for an appointment.
Big meat raffle night for RSL
The Old Bar Beach RSL Sub-branch had another great night last Friday at the Old Bar Tavern when its conducted the meat raffles. Support from patrons was very strong with a good return on the night.
Many members and their family were present to enjoy the evening and thanks go to the management and staff of the tavern for their ongoing support of the sub-branch.
