Henry, 28, agreed to terms this week.
A halfback, Henry won an under 18 premiership with the Pirates and later represented Group Three. He also had a stint with Taree City before moving to Muswellbrook.
"It's good to have Mick back,'' Old Bar president Andrew Wilkes said.
The Pirates signed Jake Samoa as captain-coach for this year's aborted competition. Mr Wilkes said the club is continuing to negotiate with Samoa about staying on as a player, however, it's uncertain if he'll be staying in the area.
"We'd love to have him as a player,'' he said.
Mr Wilkes said the club has been busy talking with players signed for 2020 and he's confident most will be with the Pirates in 2021. This includes two players from Queensland.
"They moved back home when the restrictions started to kick in, but both have indicated they want to return,'' he said.
The Pirates won last year's under 18 premiership and were beaten grand finalists this season. Mr Wilkes understands about six or seven of this season's roster will be staying in the under 18 ranks in 2021.
He added a number of last season's team and some from this year are working in the area and will be sticking with the club.
"We're just looking forward to playing some footy again next year,'' he said.
