Many courses will be resuming for current members from Monday, October 19 for an eight-week program and there are even two new courses offered, Yoga and Acrylic Pour Art.
On Monday, October 12, the postponed annual general meeting will take place from 10am at Manning Uniting church hall, Albert Street, Taree.
"Besides the usual features of an AGM there is the special award of life membership to Pam Archer OAM for her ten and a half years of volunteer work with U3A's choir, The Silver Tones," U3A secretary, Chris Abbott said.
As numbers are also limited due to social distancing and venue capacity, members need to pre-register by Friday, October 9.
The courses offered this term are available over the five-week days.
They are: Social Craft; Let's Walk' Cryptic Crosswords; Time Traveller; Tai Chi (continuers); The Play's The Thing; Philosophy; Just Read; Art in The Gallery; Music Makers; Open Forum, and the two new courses, Yoga and Acrylic Pour Art.
All course leaders are volunteers.
"Enrolment this term was done by phone over two mornings," Chris said.
"Course numbers are limited due to social distancing regulation and venue capacities."
All courses will be held at the Manning Uniting Church hall in Albert Street, Taree except for Let's Walk and Art In The Gallery. Courses this term are free to members.
U3A hopes that many other popular courses including the Silver Tones, ukuleles, ballroom and line dancing will be able to return in 2021.
"There absence this term will be another contributor to a reduction in overall enrolments," Chris said.
