To all those who have an interest in the ongoing progress of the Forster public hospital, nothing much has changed since I last made a comment on the situation.

The long-awaited clinical services plan has been completed but has not yet been released publicly.
What we do know so far is the following:
- The health minister for New South Wales has publicly stated that no commitment has been made to the construction of a hospital in Forster.
- No land has been identified or purchased for a public hospital in Forster.
- No money has been budgeted by the New South Wales government to fund any development or construction of a public hospital in Forster.
It is pleasing, for some, to note that the State government has allocated over $430 million to the redevelopment of Shoalhaven hospital. This is an area with a similar population base and coincidentally is a Liberal held seat. Mind you, it was six years between the promise and an announcement of funding.
If our local member was half as good as his promise, to plan, build and deliver a public hospital in Forster in this term of government he would be proud to release the part of the clinical services plan that details the plans for a Forster Hospital.
We are 18 months into this term of government and nothing has happened.
