A bridal show, held at Taree RSL club in October 1995, was a spectacle not to be missed.
Scott spent the previous 10 years living in Fremantle in Perth and was used to a high standard of production. He was amazed on his return to Taree this standard hadn't dropped.
It was a 'glamorous and glitzy' evening, according to Scott.
"It was something that never existed growing up in Taree," Scott laughed.
"I got to meet Aggie McClutchy who was really big in the Taree fashion scene at the time. Larry Belton was the MC for the evening."
As he nears 25 years with the Times, Scott said he'd do it all again in a heartbeat.
The newspaper gig wasn't his first foray into the world of photography.
"All my friends put in and bought a camera for my 21st birthday," Scott recalled.
"I had done a lot of travelling overseas with the camera and fell in love with photography.
"I spent 10 years in Perth with a portrait company and worked my way up from being a photographer to an interstate trainer... but returning home and getting a job with the Times was so much more interesting."
