Led by 16-year-old halfback Lucy Green the Ratz produced a powerhouse performance against a gallant opponent.
The previous week the Ratz upset Wallamba at Nabiac.
"That was probably our best performance of the year,'' Ratz coach Dave Rees said of the clash against Wallamba.
"But the side's coming together really well. We have a good mix of players and they're starting to enjoy their rugby.''
He said Green was particularly potent at halfback.
"Lucy could be anything in rugby,'' Rees said.
"She leads from the front.''
Skipper Jess Maher and Sheridan Clarke worked hard in the forwards to lay the foundation for the win. And Rees said when the Ratz spun the ball wide they played some attractive rugby.
However, Rees said Saturday's clash against premiers Wauchope at Taree Rugby Park will be a stern challenge.
"We'll have to be up for that one,'' Rees said.
"That'll give us an idea where we stand in the competition.''
