The meeting opened with a minute silence held for a much loved and long term member of Taree VIEW Club, Mrs Corazon Wynter who had passed away at the end of March 2020. Because of the restrictions at funerals her Taree VIEW club friends couldn't attend.
Corazon ran the trading table at Taree VIEW for many years and was an active member who helped raise much needed funds for the Smith Family. She will be sorely missed by all her friends.
The meeting held at Club Taree was held under strict COVID protocols with numbers limited on tables and social distancing rules in place which required all ladies to be seated at all times.
This proved to be a little challenging for the 35 women who had not met in over four months, with many eager to catch up with their friends. The rules were strictly adhered to with a few subtle reminders and lots of laughter.
Club Taree staff went out of their way to make sure the luncheon meeting ran smoothly with everyone required to undertake temperature check and have all the address details recorded for safety, plus hand sanitizing stations in the meeting room. Thank you Lisa from Club Taree for all your help.
VIEW ladies enjoyed their meeting as well as the delicious baked pork and vegetables plus apple crumble sweets that were served for lunch.
The club's next function will be held at Valley Café in Manning Street, Taree for a breakfast (brunch) on August 11.
