It's one of the best days on the Taree High School calendar, filled with colourful costumes, school spirit and, of course, war cries.

Spirit Day was held on Friday, July 5, with each house tasked with completing activities towards a cumulative total. The house with the most points at the end of the day walked away with the Spirit Cup.
After the lunchtime break, all houses gathered for the annual war cries contest.
They were given 20 minutes to practice before returning to the assembly area armed with signs, sticks, bins and megaphones.
The stakes were raised even higher as Kerrie Davy took the microphone to tell students each house was separated by less than 200 points.
That meant the winner of the contest would also take home the Spirit Cup.
One by one, the houses shouted and yelled about how they were superior to the others.
Manning kept things contemporary, parodying country/rap song 'Old Town Road'.
This was to no avail as Murray was declared the winner of the contest and the 2019 Spirit Cup champions.
