He said the first would be held within the next financial year.
Mr Mestrov said work has started on upgrading the Wauchope track to ensure it meets the standard required to run a TAB meeting. He was speaking at Taree's first TAB meeting held at the Kanangra Drive track last Wednesday. This was also a first for greyhound racing on the Mid North Coast.
Mr Mestrov confirmed Taree would run 13 meetings during the racing year. He said the Wauchope track would be invaluable when the grass track at Taree is being rested.
However, he indicated that meetings at Wauchope would be in addition to those held at Taree.
Taree's next meeting is set for Wednesday July 8. All TAB meetings will be conducted on Wednesday afternoons.
