The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and paramedics treated the child on Saturday, June 13.
The helicopter critical medical care team met with an ambulance, which transported the child, at Taree Airport. Here the child was stabilised and airlifted to John Hunter Children's Hospital.
He was in a stable condition.
On Thursday afternoon, a 33-year-old man was airlifted to the Royal North Shore Hospital burns unit after an accident on a property at Pampoolah.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the property at 4.15pm where it was reported a person had suffered serious burns to his upper body. It is believe petrol ignited while he was trying to start a fire.
