Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, marches, services and even two-up have been cancelled.
But that doesn't mean the day will be forgotten or not recognised.
Manning residents are being encouraged to join with Taree RSL Sub-branch members, army cadets and the rest of the community in a unique form of remembrance.
Known as 'Light Up The Dawn', everyone is encouraged to stand at their driveway, window or balcony at 6am to acknowledge fallen diggers and reflect on the landing at Gallipoli in 1915.
From 5.30am, ABC will stream a commemorative service live from the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.
The Sub-branch and organisers know the significance hasn't been lost on the day.
Club Taree chief executive Morgan Stewart is the master of ceremonies for the Taree commemorative service each year.
Although disappointed, he understands the need to put a halt on all mass gatherings in relation to Anzac Day.
He said local cadets are also disappointed about not being able to pay their respects in the traditional way.
"These cadets live for Anzac Day and are just as upset about it as the Sub-branch," Mr Stewart said.
Army cadets will be authorised to dress in full ceremonial uniform and have their photo taken.
These will be collected and distributed by Australian Army Cadets.
Later in the day, RSL NSW will facilitate a televised service from 10am emanating from the Sydney Hyde Park Memorial.
If you will take part in the Light Up The Dawn initiative or will commemorate Anzac Day in anyway, we want to hear from you.

Meanwhile, Taree RSL Sub-branch continues to recognise and celebrate the lives of veterans who have died.
Federal government restrictions have put a halt on mass gatherings, meaning funerals are virtually unattended for the foreseeable future.
The Sub-branch has begun to upload written eulogies and videos to the Taree RSL Sub-branch Facebook page.
The Sub-branch said its an alternative way to celebrate veterans lives, their service and inform others of their passing.
