This is under the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities Grants, announced by Member for Port Macquarie, Leslie Williams.
The arena will be constructed within the Hannam Vale Reserve.
"Riders from Coopernook, Moorland, Johns River and Hannam Vale will soon no longer have to either ride on the road or drive for almost an hour to access suitably safe facilities," Mrs Williams said.
"The construction of an arena will provide a safe place to ride for individuals pursuing the sport as well as a hub for the extensive local equestrian community."
"The number of equestrians in the Hannam Vale area has been growing steadily and there is a new generation of kids also wanting to take up their stirrups, but without a safe place to ride this has had its challenges,'' Three Mountains Equestrian Club secretary Gemma Baker said,
"This new arena will create a community hub for equestrians and their families, and enable the Three Mountains Equestrian group to grow and have a suitable place to hold their meetings and engage the wider equestrian community in the area."
